Description:

Sagittal serial sections of xGal reaction of Ple103-EGFP/cre adult N2 mouse. Serial cryosections (at 640µm intervals starting approximately 340µm from midline) were stained. LacZ-positive cells are found throughout the brain; typically these cells are small and found in juxtaposition to blood vessels. Rare large lacZ-positive cells are detected in the neuropil of the forebrain and midbrain. The sections were counterstained with NeutroRed. EGFP expression, however, was not detected in these brains by either native fluorescence or immunohistochemistry (not shown).
