Description:

Sagittal series of EGFP-immunostaining of an adult, male, N2 Ple151-EGFP mouse. Serial cryosections (at 320µm intervals starting approximately 40µm from midline) were stained with rabbit anti-GFP (Invitrogen), and DAB to give a brown reaction product. Weak positive EGFP-immunoreactivity was seen throughout brain in germline mice. The strongest immunostaining was located in cortex, thalamus and brainstem. Olfactory bulb, striatum and cerebellum have less immunostaining. Under high magnification, positive cells show more DAB staining the nucleus, with many puffy profiles around the cell bodies. In cortex, more positive cells are observed in the cortical layer IV and V. In brainstem, some myelinated fiber-like structures show positive staining as well.
