Figure 1
Description:

Figure 1: Ple151-EGFP labels cells that are not neurons or astroglia. Double immunofluorescent staining of rabbit anti-EGFP and neuron and glial markers on an adult, male, N2 mouse of Ple151 MiniPromoter. A and B are double labeled for EGFP (green) and NeuN, a pan neuronal marker (red). While numerous cells and their processes are positive for EGFP in cortex (A) and brainstem (B), these cells do not co-label with NeuN. C and D are double immunostained for GFP (green) and GFAP (red), an astrocyte marker. There is no co-localization of EGFP with GFAP in cortex (C) and brainstem (D). TOTO3 (blue) is used as a nuclear counter stain. Bar=50µm.

Figure 2: Ple151-EGFP labels cells that co-express oligodendrocyte markers. Double immunofluorescent staining of anti-EGFP (green) and glial markers in an adult, male, N2 mouse of Ple151 MiniPromoter. A and C: anti-EGFP show numerous cells and their processes in cortex (A) and brainstem (C) that are Olig2 (red) positive (arrows). B and D are double immunostained with EGFP and RIP (B, red, cortex) and CNPase (D, red, striatum), markers for oligodendrocyte processes. There is no co-localization with EGFP and these markers of oligodendrocyte processes. TOTO3 (blue) is used as a nuclear counter stain. Bar=50µm.
