Description:

Sagittal series of EGFP-immunostaining of adult S100B-C promoter mouse. Serial cryosections (at 320µm intervals starting approximately 360µm from midline) were stained with anti-GFP (rabbit polyclonal, invitrogen) and DAB to give a brown reaction product. Numerous myelinated like profiles can be seen throughout the brain, large bundles of the neuronal track clearly observed in striatum, and many small transverse or longitude fiber tracks were distributed in olfactory bulb, cortex, thalamus, and more strong in brainstem. Cerebellar white matter show many positive EGFP reactions as well, with more intensity in Bergmann glial cells. Bergmann glial shows strong EGFP expression. Additionally, numerous darkly labeled small glial nucleus were observed in different brain regions.
